Taiye Obasunyi Musically known as Jah Tea hails from Edo state , Nigeria.
He started his musical career singing in church since 1995 and specialize in fusion of Roots, culture and dance hall Reggae
A graduate of Geography at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
He is influenced by sizzla kalonji and started professionally with the Soul Criers a three man band in 1996 with an album titled Clarion Call. Jah Tea was signed to Synergy Records and worked with the likes of sinclair Kumboye in 2013 he got signed to Roaring Thunder label and recently released his hit single 'Vanity'
Vanity is a reality song on how people sell their souls lusting for success and how some others are imprisoned in their wealth
Jah Tea is currently working on his Album with professional Audio and Visual producers.
